Produce Disinfection System
The Professional Ozone Produce Wash Station is a complete
dual-sink
produce wash sink designed with USDA guidelines. It utilizes
Biotek Ozone¡¯s disinfection power for cleaning and sanitizing
vegetables and produce and leaves no residues.
PDS's dedicated left sink for pre-rinse prepares produce
with regular water prior to disinfection by ozonated sink.
The right sink is supplied with highly concentrated and
dissolved ozonated water from the Produce Disinfection
System (PDS) unit. The sink's turbulence kinetics allows
even ozone exposure thus increasing efficacy of the disinfection
process. In addition, water is recirculated with re-addition
of dissolved ozone to lower resource consumption. With
indoor safety in mind, any off-gas released will be under
OSHA standards (0.1 ppm) and the vent bar unit (VB-1000)
acts as a safeguard to improve air circulation and off-gas
destruction. |

The Ozonated Water Recirculation Sink uses highly dissolved
ozone the strongest FDA approved food grade disinfectant
for produce disinfection. Fresh produce is loaded in a basket
is immersed in the recirculated ozonated water to eliminate
99.9% of bacteria, viruses, and chemicals such as pesticides
or chlorine from ready-to-eat fruits and vegetables. Ozone
disperses quickly and does not leave residues, therefore is
safe for immediate consumption without extra post-rinse. In
addition, dissolved ozone provides high oxygen content to boost
color and crispness under neutral pH and environmentally
friendly conditions. |
